Qari Muhib ur Rahman leads the five daily prayers at Masjid Quba. He has served as Imam at various masajid throughout the New York and New Jersey area since 2011.
Background
He studied Qira'at — the science of Qur'anic recitation — in Bangladesh, where he trained in the traditional art of tajwid and memorization under qualified scholars.
Imam Bilal Khan
Religious and spiritual guidance for the Carteret community.
Background
Raised in New York City, Imam Bilal began his study of the Qur'an and Islamic sciences with local scholars from a young age. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies at Mishkah University, with a focus on Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Usool al-Fiqh, while continuing private studies with scholars. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Brooklyn College.
Serving the community
Inspired by his teachers, Imam Bilal began delivering khutbahs at the age of 17. Since then, he has worked with organizations such as ICNA, Young Muslims, and Park51, along with numerous mosques, to serve diverse Muslim communities.
He currently serves as Imam here, and is the founder and director of Al-Buraq, a nonprofit dedicated to grassroots community growth through education, companionship, and service.
